Did you guys invent the Juego de Sapo? aka The Frog Game?
This is the best question that we have heard over the years and continue to hear about from new players and customers! As you may have read in our Journal posts and from other sources, "El Juego de Sapo" is an old, sort of mythical game that has its roots in ancient Incan tradition, stemming from the Andes or highland region of Peru. After the Spanish colonized South America, this game spread across hispanic countries and became wildly popular in different regions. No one can say for sure who invented it nor pinpoint exactly where it was first played in the Andes of Peru, but the original style and look of the game board, with the prominent Frog opening its mouth serving as a goal, and the various slots for the scoring and point system is something that can be traced back to at least the 18th century, where it was played in courtyards around Peru. No one brand, not in Peru, nor here in the US can claim a copyright to the original design nor say that they are the originators or inventors of this game. We are all here to contribute our take and our style to this original game and provide an extra touch of sophistication for modern audiences.
Are you guys associated with other Juego de Sapo brands and companies?
Great question. As many customers who call us wondering if we have some business relationship or connection to other manufacturers of this awesome game, the straight answer is that we are not. Every Juego de Sapo is unique, and we are an independent manufacturer of this version of the Juego de Sapo right here directly in the USA, from a proud tradition of Peruvian enthusiasts. Even though we began our journey years ago importing these game boards directly from Peru, we no longer have any business ties with any companies that produce them back home.

How long will it take for my order to ship?
If your order qualifies for a Free Shipping offer, you should expect your order to arrive within 3 to 7 business days after it ships. Free Shipping is only available to the 48 continental states via UPS Ground, and is only available during certain promotional periods throughout the year.
Do you guys provide Pick Up and Delivery options?
Yes we do! We are based in Hartford County, Connecticut, USA. and we are able to provide you with direct Pick Up from our shop. We also provide delivery within most of the state of Connecticut and Central Massachusetts, as well as the tri-state area of New York City and New Jersey. Please give us a call and let us know which option works best for you if you live in our area and we will be glad to discuss these options and give you more details.
